ERIN PIZZEY

Erin Pizzey is an international author, published playwright and poet, she is known throughout the world as the champion of battered women. She founded the Chiswick womens aide in 1971 and her book ” Scream quietly or the neighbours will hear” was the first book in the world to deal with the issue of wife battering and was published as a penguin special in 1974. This charity is proud to have such a patron as Erin Pizzey, she is a women of great integrity and courage, she stood up for what is right when so many would have just looked the other way. 

ROGER GRAEF OBE.

Roger Graef is the Chief executive and founder of Films of Record, he is an award winning filmmaker and was awarded the Bafta fellowship for lifetime Achievement in 2004 and was awarded an OBE in 2006 for service to broadcasting. He has made more than a hundred films in various roles and has directed drama, theatre, opera and comedy as well as current affairs and documentaries. His film on rape in the award winning BBC series changed the way rape victims were treated by the police. We are proud to have Roger Graef as a patron because his work has exposed injustice and changed things for the better.
